Trophy Striped Bass fiberglass reproduction by McGinnity Marine ArtCome enjoy fishing or simply cruising to a nearby restaurant with Captain Chris Mills aboard the "COOLBEANZ." With over 15 years’ experience fishing the Chesapeake Bay Captain Chris knows how to catch ‘em. Whether trolling, chumming, jigging, or bottom fishing Captain Chris finds the fish. The "COOLBEANZ" operates out of the Rod-N-Reel Dock in Chesapeake Beach (MD), the charter fishing capital of Maryland since 1946. Fishing season starts in mid-April when the trophy rockfish leave their spawning rivers and travel down the Bay to the ocean. In late fall some of those big fish return to the Bay. So - give us a call to reserve your day out on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay.

UPDATE late June 2010:  Black Drum are being caught NOW, but only for a couple more weeks.  Summer fishing for smaller Rockfish is in full swing, with trolling being the most popular and productive method to catch them until the Spot arrive.  Then we'll start livelining Spot to catch Rockfish on light tackle, always lots of fun.  The drum won't be here for much longer, so give us a call if you're interested in catching the largest gamefish to visit our part of the Bay.
